The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the area where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
